New Junior and Senior Database Administrator (DBA) role in Petaling Jaya (Open to Local Malaysians)

A leading Banking organisation based in KL is seeking for a capable Junior and Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to be a part of their energetic team.

Your new role

System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with IT teams to quickly restore systems, diagnose issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure smooth database operations.
Database Management: Oversee all SQL database environments, including production and non-production servers, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
Security and Upgrades: Maintain SQL database security, apply patches and upgrades, and manage installation and configuration standards to ensure system integrity and security.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor capacity, performance, and resource usage, perform query tuning, and use various tools to detect and troubleshoot issues.
Change and Compliance Management: Handle change requests, conduct compliance and integration testing, and analyze trends to prevent recurring problems while maintaining data confidentiality and integrity.

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum 2–8 years of experience as a Database Administrator providing 24x7 support.
Experienced in MS SQL/ DB2/ MySQL / Oracle.
Strong proficiency in Windows or Linux servers.
Basic fundamental understanding in scripting.
Able to do performance tuning.
