Our client, a top-tier healthcare technology firm, is seeking dedicated finance professionals to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. As part of this dynamic team, you'll play a crucial role in optimising financial practices that drive innovation, leadership, and success, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for patients worldwide.
Your Impact:
- Lead the migration of Record-to-Report (RTR) finance activities for APAC countries, ensuring smooth transitions and process standardisation.
- Collaborate with in-country finance teams and the Kuala Lumpur Business Service Centre (KL BSC) to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly corporate deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with EW finance policies, US GAAP, SOX, and support annual statutory audits and tax filings.
- Execute RTR functions and provide technical accounting support to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements for finance teams in-country and at KL BSC.
- Provide coaching, leadership, and people management to finance teams.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese (N1/N2 level preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships effectively.
- Deep understanding of accounting and financial processes, with a curiosity to explore and resolve complex problems.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, provide coaching and feedback, and handle all aspects of employee relations.
- Transparent leadership style with a high level of integrity and a track record of building trust-based relationships.
- The ability to interact professionally at all organisational levels and escalate issues appropriately.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.
