You will be joining a multinational company established in the United States, with operations across the globe. You will be part of their shared services hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, supporting their Japan operations. Your workplace is highly accessible by public transport.
Your new role
You will utilise your Japanese proficiency and ensure the success of the Japan market through responsibilities such as but not limited to:
Performing various record-to-report (RTR) accounting and reporting tasks, according to international and local standards (GAAP)
Ensuring that financial reporting and auditing processes adhere to SOX
Contributing to process improvements
Working with cross-functional teams and external parties e.g., auditors and authorities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Business-level Japanese and English proficiencies
- ~1–5 years of experience in RTR / General Ledger (GL) or related finance experience
- Attention to detail and good communication skills
