Our client is a leading international specialist in the design, engineering, manufacture, and distribution of high-quality industrial components to major global assembly industries. The company serves a wide range of industries worldwide. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to collaborate closely with the Asia Pacific Managing Director to manage an established manufacturing facility located in Shah Alam KL Malaysia.

Your new role

You will set and achieve business objectives, contributing to the overall success of the regional strategy.

Review operating results with regional teams, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and drive implementation of action plans to increase profitable growth.

Act as a trusted partner to the regional team, supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with the broader strategy.

Lead a cross-functional team and activities to optimize production efficiency, delivering transformative improvements in work practices and performance outcomes.

Oversee and manage strategic projects, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with both regional teams and central functions to foster collaboration and operational excellence.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong track record of implementing transformative business process improvements and driving operational efficiencies in a production and commercial environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure, under own initiative, and to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Highly motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence.
• 15 years’ experience working in the field of Managerial/Production level.
• Proven experience as a General Manager role within a regional or international business structure.
• Professional certifications in leadership, project management (e.g., PMP), or lean/six sigma are a plus, showcasing a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or related field.
