Kubernetes Linux Engineer

Linux and Kubernetes Engineer (Penang)
Your New Company -
My client is a technology company that is within the manufacturing industry, based in Penang.

Your New Role -
  • Planning and execution of daily administrative tasks
  • Planning and execution of Kubernetes deployments, server installations, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
  • Coordination and control of external support/service providers as well as creation and maintenance of documentation.
  • Support problem management process: On Call and Follow-The-Sun models.

What You’ll Need to Succeed -
  • Proven background and strong experience with the planning and implementation of complex Linux-Server and Kubernetes in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with patching, upgrading, and performing operating system backups and restores.
  • Strong scripting skills with experience in Perl, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with x86 server hardware and virtualization (VMware vSphere).
  • Experience in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible and Puppet. Red Hat Linux and OpenShift certification are an added bonus.
