A leading bank not only in Malaysia but across the SEA region, is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Data Protection Officer to join our team and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Job Description:

- Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data protection laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and audits.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on data protection best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and data subjects.
- Monitor and report on data protection compliance and risks.
- Investigate and respond to data breaches and incidents.
- Maintain records of data processing activities.

Requirements:
- 5 years' experience with a Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations.
- Strong understanding of data protection principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are a plus.
