Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of IT Infrastructure to pioneer a new division. Having strong background in managing Data Centre hardware and software, data centre engineering, and operations involving CPU and storage racks. This role requires technical leadership and the ability to drive strategic initiatives to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the IT infrastructure.

Your New Role –
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT infrastructure team.
    • Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team.
  • Google Distributed Cloud:
    • Oversee the deployment, management, and optimisation of Google Distributed Cloud hardware and software.
    • Ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Data Centre Engineering:
    • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of data centre infrastructure.
    • Manage hardware components, including CPU and storage racks, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable and efficient data centre solutions.
  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
    • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the IT infrastructure team.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
    • Lead technical projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
What you’ll need to succeed –
  • 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on cloud technologies and data centre operations.
  • Familiarity with Google Distributed Cloud hardware and software is a highly added advantage.
  • Proven experience in data centre engineering, including CPU and storage rack management, Vendor management and Stakeholder management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified, PMP) are a plus.
