Job Description: Operational Supply Planner - Thai speaking
Job Purpose:
Our client, a leading company in the industry, is seeking an experienced Operational Supply Planner to develop short-term (0-6 months) supply planning plans. This role includes detailed scheduling for Finished Goods, Master Production Schedule, and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)/Deployment for relevant assets in the regional network. The successful candidate will contribute to Supply Reviews and the S&OE process and be accountable for stock levels across the network, including replenishment.
Your Role
- Reporting to the Operational Supply Planning Manager, you will support our client's Supply Planning Agenda and drive initiatives in the region.
- Translate the mid-term production plan into the short-term plan (planned orders to firm orders).
- Develop and review short-term production and scheduling plans by line/technology, considering capacity, utilisation, and timing.
- Manage stock transfers until the 1st decoupling point, while the Replenishment Planner manages from the 1st decoupling point to the entire network.
- Monitor daily actuals against the weekly production plan, track product availability, production schedule adherence, and recommend corrective actions for non-adherence.
- Identify short-term Finished Goods (FG) requirements in the markets and propose allocations based on business priority.
- Support inventory analysis by reviewing inventory policies, tracking and managing slow-movers, and monitoring obsoletes.
- Maintain select manufacturing parameters (including constraints).
- Provide inputs and participate in the S&OE, communicating material availability issues and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with Plant Production Schedulers to align on scheduling activities.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Material Planning to ensure raw material supports the production schedule.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning performance.
Your Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Supply Planning.
- Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Operational Supply Planning, Production Planning, and Scheduling.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of S&OP/IBP.
- Proven success in operational excellence and continuous improvement in supply planning roles.
- Strong communication skills, collaboration, and hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in Data Analytics & BI.
- Strong knowledge of systems such as SAP, APO, Kinaxis, OMP, o9, or similar.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in Thai and English.
- Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- Frequent travel required for the first 3 months, with a potential stay in Thailand.
