Your next career move is with a well-established material manufacturing company with a strong regional presence seeking highly-experienced strategic Procurement experts (Direct Material) to drive value and create more working relationships with suppliers in APAC.

Your new role

As a senior member of the Procurement team and a division lead, you will work closely with local and regional stakeholders, ensuring the continuity of production activities by procuring / purchasing materials relevant to output, both from existing and new suppliers. This process includes planning, vendor sourcing and negotiation, new product development and testing in collaboration with R&D, management of quality of materials and ensuring product launch and delivery. Long-term relationships with vendors should also be fostered in order to add value to the costing process. Contract evaluation and risk mitigation will also be part of this portfolio.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree with working experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Vendor QA roles
• Hands-on knowledge in Direct Materials eg: raw materials including chemicals and minerals, packaging.
• Proven skills in contract and strategic sourcing management. Digitisation experience an added advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge in SAP and other e-procurement tools
• Strong fluency in English a MUST. Additional languages such as Mandarin (written & spoken) an advantage due to supplier base
• Must be willing to work near Rawang / Batu Caves
