Your new role

You will develop and execute category strategies for indirect-spend items, from CAPEX to MRO & logistics for the Malaysia portfolio. You will also support purchasing activities for Direct materials. Responsible for aligning with regional managers in the respective business units, you will drive vendor optimisation via various methods such as sourcing, negotiation, contracting and performance assessments. You will establish short and long-term relationships and goals with each supplier, as well as devise strategies to achieve them. You will also lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects to build relationships that drive standardisation and investment optimisation as well as risk-mitigation according to the organisation's governance measures. Key stakeholder management and market analysis will also be an integral part of your role.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree with Procurement experience ideally in FMCG or Chemical Manufacturing industries

• Well-versed in Indirect categories - end-to-end category management

• Comprehensive understanding of Strategic Procurement processes in a matrix organisation from Sourcing and Strategic Supplier Management to Contracting and Performance Management

• Experienced in Process and People Change Management.

• Strong ability to communicate with, and convince stakeholders from various backgrounds

• Willing to work in Bandar Enstek
