My client is a global industry leader in solar energy with a regional office that is based in the heart of KL. They are looking to revolutionise the solar energy industry throughout the APAC region using technology to develop and sell superior products. They have a team of 30 that is split between 5 departments engaging the solar market. They are managing an existing client portfolio but focused on growth due to sustainability being paramount to our futures. They are an exciting organisation, using new initiatives along with a solid strategy to remain the best.

Your new role

Are you enthusiastic about solar energy? My client needs an experienced electrical engineer skilled in Solar PV and Energy Storage Systems sales.

The role involves developing and nurturing customer relationships while managing customer satisfaction to ensure sustained engagement. It encompasses the responsibility of achieving the operational objectives and implementing strategies and revenue indicators as assigned by the organisation. The position requires exploring leads, managing industry opportunities, and overseeing sales projects within the account department. Additionally, it involves gaining insights into the industry market, identifying customer needs, deploying the company's strategic products, and aiding customers in achieving their business objectives. Planning and executing brand marketing activities for the account group, as well as reviewing and enhancing the brand image of the company's products within the department, are also key responsibilities. Lastly, the role includes spearheading the ecosystem construction for customers, supporting the consistent growth of market share, and fostering improved satisfaction amongst partners.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of electric power and its applications, including but not limited to utilities, renewable energy generation, and energy storage, with basic theoretical knowledge of solar inverters in the energy industry being an advantage. They must have over three years of experience in technical sales within the solar energy sector, with a preference for those experienced in inverter sales or having an EPC background. Familiarity with solar design tools such as PVSYST, PVSOL, and AutoCAD is essential, alongside strong written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint. A Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering, Photovoltaics or Renewable Energy, or a comparable field is required. Proficiency in English is preferred due to frequent interactions with a global team, and candidates with additional language skills are encouraged to highlight them in their applications. The candidate should also be willing to travel internationally and adapt to diverse working environments.
